In the early days when blond by design joined forces with Covered, it was a fairly unknown community magazine with a distribution of 10,000 copies in a couple of postcodes in north Leeds.
As a relatively new business, it was still trying to create its own identity by increasing its readership and advertising sales. By performing a brand re-design and layout refresh exercise, we were able to embed sub-brands into the magazine and keep themes and content cohesive to give the free publication a professional appearance.
This resulted in more businesses paying for advertising space, the acquisition of another community magazine in north east Leeds and rapid business growth with copies now being posted through the letterboxes of over 100,000 homes in north Leeds!
It now has the largest distribution and readership in the city!
